Your shipment data never leaves your device. The checker is a static page: the rule list is downloaded to your browser and every check runs there, in JavaScript. Descriptions, party names, HS codes and CSV files you provide are held in the browser tab only and are gone when you close it.
What is not collected
- No manifest, description, party name, HS code or file name is transmitted anywhere.
- No cookies, no local storage, no fingerprinting.
- No accounts, so no account data is held.
- The page loads nothing from any other domain — enforced by a Content-Security-Policy that permits only this site's own files.
Usage measurement
To know whether the tool is used and which parts help, anonymous usage counters are collected with Umami, which is cookieless and stores no personal profile. The tracker is served from this domain and its data is relayed by this site, so your browser never contacts another host; Umami acts as a data processor on the receiving end.
What a counter contains: that a check ran, its verdict category, which rule types fired, a coarse size band for row counts (for example 11-100), and which buttons were used. Plus the usual page, referrer, coarse location and browser type.
What a counter never contains: anything you typed or any content of a file you checked. Goods descriptions, party details, HS codes and CSV contents stay in your browser, because the checking happens there and the results are never sent back.
If you would rather send nothing at all, any tracker blocker stops it, and the checker keeps working identically — the measurement code cannot affect a result.
What the host necessarily sees
Serving the page produces ordinary web-server request logs at the hosting provider (Cloudflare Pages): IP address, timestamp, requested file, user agent. These are generated by the act of loading any website and are not linked to anything you type into the checker, because that content is never sent.
Downloads
The findings CSV and JSON files are generated inside your browser and saved directly by it. They are not routed through any server.
Changes
If this ever changes — for example if a server-side API is added — this page will say so before the change goes live, and any uploading feature will be opt-in and clearly labelled.
